Julong News (Correspondent: Gao Chunguang) On January 7, Julong Group was awarded Top 10 Most Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering into ASEAN and Chairman Yang Xuejiang was again awarded 2013 Outstanding Chinese Outstanding Entrepreneurs Entering into ASEAN.
Indonesia is one of the founding members of ASEAN as well as the world’s largest palm oil producer. Since the year 2006 when Julong Group started its investment on oil palm plantation in Indonesia, Julong’s “going out” undertaking has kept developing and boosting with a constantly growing competitiveness. In 2013, Julong owned land available for oil palm planting with an area of 130,000 hectares, among which 50,000 hectares were planted, and the accumulative investment has exceeded 300 million U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, Julong Group is committed to fulfilling the social responsibility. Julong has provided more than 6000 employment opportunities for local people and improved local educational and medical environment, which was highly appreciated by local government.
The activity was jointly held by China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC), one of the five dialogue and cooperation mechanisms. Since the year 2011, the series of selections regarding excellent Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs entering into ASEAN have been held for three consecutive years, and the series of selections regarding excellent ASEAN enterprises and entrepreneurs entering into China were launched in 2012. The selection aims to summarize and share the experience of marketing and community service, contribute to more effective mutual-beneficial cooperation and promote a win-win situation through the construction of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area.
