Julong News (Correspondent: Gao Chunguang) On December 16, hosted by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and with the participation of 18 supporters including China NGO Network for International Exchanges, the “People Forum on International Social Responsibility” was held in Beijing. Honorary president of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Huang Mengfu, president of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Duan Yingbi and deputy director of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development Zheng Wenkai attended and gave speeches. The case of our group was listed into “The collection of excellent cases of domestic and foreign enterprises fulfilling the international social responsibility”.

     Since the year 2006 when our group began to develop plantations in Indonesia, we have been fulfilling corporate social responsibilities. Adhering to the international conventions and local tradition, we strive to create the integrated value of economy, society and culture, supporting local social and economic development. We enhance the communication with the locals, endeavoring to win social understanding and acceptance to achieve mutual development.

     Corporate social responsibility has been an important part for Julong Group in its building international first-class enterprise. This honor will stimulate Julong to fulfill its international social responsibility with more passion. In the process of accelerating the development of “going out”, we enable international social responsibility to penetrate the development strategy, learning methods and experiences from those multinational companies and demonstrating our positive attitude towards fulfilling social responsibility. 

     More than 300 representatives including representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, National Health and Family Planning Commission, Ministry of Civil Affairs, State Administration for Industry & Commerce and other relevant departments, UN resident representatives in China, representatives of Chinese enterprises, representatives of multi-national companies in China, experts and representatives of international and domestic NGO, attended the forum.
