Julong News (Correspondent: Zhou Rui) From December 17 to 20, a five-person group, including Ministry of Commerce Outward Economic Cooperation Department business committee counselor Chen Lin, China International Engineering Consulting Cooperation Outward Economic Cooperation Department vice-general manager Dou Hao and Investment Promotion Division deputy director Cao Yawei, paid a visit to the Indonesian subsidiary company of our group. Our group’s chairman Yang Xuejiang, vice chairman Zhu Jiandong, vice president Li Guozheng and general manager Sun Weijun accompanied the visit.

During the visit, leaders from both Ministry of Commerce of China and Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia exchanged views on agricultural cooperation. Afterwards, a colloquium was held in the Jakarta-based headquarters of our group. With nine Chinese enterprises that invested in Indonesian agriculture, the visiting group learned in detail about their investment and needs. Our group introduced the investment of late years on oil palm plantations, and discussed with the visiting leaders about the preparation for construction of the China-Indonesia Overseas Agricultural Industry Area.
After the colloquium, the visiting group went to our group’s first oil palm plantation in Kalimantan Island. They first visited the plantation and crushing plant, studying the technological process of breeding, planting, fruiting, and crushing, etc., and talked with the local employees. Then they visited Julong Hope Primary School. After the field visit, the visiting group got a comprehensive understanding about our group’s investment and construction in Indonesia. They are of the opinion that our overseas plantations have possessed the general conditions to construct overseas agricultural industrial parks, and the next step is to take out the operable preparation plan.
On Julong Group’s overseas undertaking, leaders of the visiting group pointed out that enterprise should not only exert their initiative, but also promote the reciprocity with the local governments and people. Meanwhile, the enterprises should work well in investment environment improvement, policy linking, cultural integration and public welfare contribution, etc. The enterprises should unite more Chinese enterprises and take the competitive advantage of huddling for comfort, making the”going out” development more stronger and finally realizing the co-prosperity.
