Julong News (Reporter:Zhang Liping) On November 13, the overseas branch of Longwit Labor Union of Julong Group was formally established, which is the first labor union in Tianjin Binhai New Area whose members are all Chinese employees abroad. Following the “Strategy Going Abroad” and “Talents Going Abroad”, the establishment of the overseas labor union is Julong Group’s another innovative measure in organization construction. Chairman Wu Yuwen and Organization Department secretary Wu Hongwu of Trade Union of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone attended the ceremony.

     So far, Julong Group has already sent some 200 Chinese employees and managers to Jakarta and the plantations in Indonesia. Far away from the motherland and relatives, they are confronted with very different working and living environment from what is at home. Based on this fact and in order to effectively protect the overseas employees’ interests, Julong Group decided to extend the organization and function of labor union to its overseas subsidiary, which accordingly needed Longwit Labor Union to improve its regulatory framework and standardize the union’s function. Through continuous efforts in organization construction, Longwit Labor Union has successfully built “staff home” for employees in the overseas plantations.

     On that day, the labor union members of Julong Group’s subsidiary companies in Tianjin, Jiangsu province and Indonesia were connected through video to witness the establishment of the overseas branch of Longwit Labor Union. Sun Weijun, general manager of Julong Group, introduced that the overseas branch would give full play to its advantages to practically protect the overseas staff’s long-term and specific interests, truly guarantee their economic, political and cultural rights and interests, and dispel their family considerations. Meanwhile, the overseas branch would also enhance the communication between Chinese and Indonesian employees and provide a powerful organization guarantee for the group’s overseas agricultural planting undertaking.
