Julong News On May 29, 2014, Julong Group held its African Business Launching Meeting in Ghana. Group chairman Yang Xuejiang moderated the meeting. Important guests invited to the meeting were Chinese ambassador to Ghana Sun Baohong and China-Africa Development Fund representative in Ghana Chu Shuntang. Ambassador Sun and chairman Yang jointly unveiled the nameplate of the representative office of Julong Group in West Africa.

     Julong chairman Yang Xuejiang expresses that Julong Group and African countries enjoy a vast prospect for agricultural cooperation for two reasons. First, oil palm is an important economic crop in West African countries; second, Julong Group, with the highest market share, has been dominating the domestic palm oil trade in successive years. Since 2006, Julong Group has cultivated oil palm with a total planting area of 80,000 hectares. Julong Group will apply such a successful planting experience in Indonesia to the new undertaking in Africa. The group aims to establish a stably running oil palm planting base and a whole industrial chain consisting of oil processing, logistics, trade and service, both of which are the best ways to realize mutual benefit and win-win.

     Ambassador Sun points out that agricultural investment is a tough industry to embark on because of its long investment cycle, but he has complete confidence in Julong Group that it will take root in the target market with a long-term planning and a down-to-earth attitude. The Chinese Embassy in Ghana will continue to provide the Chinese-funded enterprises with strong political guarantee and high-quality consular protection.

     Planning to establish five business districts in Africa, Julong Group will develop agricultural planting, industrial processing and trade logistics in cooperation with the local enterprises, financial institutes and Chinese-funded enterprises to form an integrated industrial park of agricultural processing.
